Continuing with Grimm
Again seeing how the show points to things in reality, as the basic idea of a Grimm can be real but not fully realized. Also an important subject with Homestuck
We have issues too, you know. And let me just say, a lot bigger than, like, teenaged angst insecurity.- Monroe
Previously I said that Grimm was a depiction of a special type of African born outside of Africa who is a paranormal cop. However in the show being a cop is Nickβs job and previously before him they were more Hunters who worked quite indiscriminately. However this can represent things raising out of the fallenness of sin and being a cop is in fact what a Grimm was supposed to be all along. Thus explaining the enthusiasm for this new form of being a Grimm from the Wesen and others.
The quote at the top points towards an important point. It may be annoying to deal with adolescent confusion and hormone charged behavior and acne and maybe you wish you had to grapple with something different. But being something like a Wesen for the average person is a level upward. Strange changes, obscure needs, having to avoid provoking fear and violence, having a predator, various levels of inherent strength, Etc is a greater challenge. And fallenness can introduce all kinds of unexpected problems.
There's a lot of ochre light, which is a nice detail. Possibly this is something I directly contributed to the show by posting, although I didn't post much about live action. When I was making my preparation comics I made a drawing in the color palette I eventually noticed, so I am certainly good at transmitting colors.
The Wesen could be considered to be holding more closely to human form than they would otherwise due to original sin. Without it they would undergo more drastic distinction from the human population and it also explains the strange handicaps of various species. Such as the spiders who must eat people to not undergo rapid aging. It is a form of making them compatible in a world with diminished paranormal spirituality.
Things such as the beavers are a quite warm sight as it is nice to think of people who do not do everything but rather limit themselves to manufacturing massive amounts of gifts and such things. An ecosystem of specialty among additional species and subspecies gives a strong background in creation for my priority on merit and ability.
The potion shop give an origin for things such as witchcraft and alchemy, with witchcraft being practiced by the hexenbiests, as it is necessary to care for the various species and deal with the effects they can cause and such things. With the tricksters domain lifted from the world, similar things could have remained in God's creation with few remaining good uses, leaving them just for those types of sinners.
Hank eventually finds out about Wesen and becomes quite enthusiastic, as a black character pointing towards the Paranormal being associated with Africa. As the trickster is Lord of Stories, his hand can be found in stories, his doctrine written in them especially in the better ones. His wonder and curiosity is much unlike the social and economic methods of "equityβ we have seen in recent years and how they are reacted to.
The intro in the second season has narration at first which takes the concept quite seriously, which points towards alternate timelines where I'm successful in introducing the Paranormal just a couple years earlier.
Monroe says that Halloween is bigger than Christmas for Wesen, which implies the religious element. Running around scaring villagers is a celebration of fright. The literal sheep point towards some being more suited to church and dedication to the Lord, while perhaps most of the others stick to the darker side in service to the trickster and the other African Gods.
In Homestuck the trolls are a partial racial caricature of black people. They also have elements of caricaturing Catholicism, such as the old Pagan accusation of incest. Which is why they are gray. This forms context for the Jesus parody who is basically another version of Karkat Vantas, the main troll character. (ideas as stupid as Dancestors deserve zero acknowledgment, they directly caused mental illness in Homestuck fans and helped form a view of the world where nothing really makes any damn sense when they moved on from reading the comic.)
In Act 5 he and other figures of his time are depicted as black, which can be taken to represent being more βpurely" about Africans and thus the parody represents a black Christ figure. Presumably a view of Halloween uplifted by the Wesen could include such an important figure, but the parody can be expected to be a very inaccurate representation. After all the Homestuck figures are stand-ins for the actual Passion of Jesus, reducing this View of the Halloween figure to a vulgar parody of African culture. Due to ghetto culture and police violence, being killed with handcuffs additionally adds a '90s-00s racist's flavor.
This paragraph feels like a mess, which indicates how much of a mess Homestuck is in general.
Grimm points towards an alternate View. In an episode Nick's girlfriend is confronted by a Mexican woman who tries to help her with a recent trouble caused by the hexenbiest in the story. In response to her lack of receptivity the woman says she does not believe in what she cannot explain. Which clearly gestures towards the Trickster, Lord of Mystery. Later she says her world is coming apart and she will have to choose between the two. This points towards the Worldbreaking, which is when the trickster will create the Multiverse just before the end times and something much like Grimm could be real. Indeed it could indicate the long path through the trickster's Multiverse after death, and the short path of not entering it and going "directlyβ to heaven. As I referred to previously. Such a choice would be very important to her, as Nickβs girlfriend. This episode is season 2 episode 9. 2 9s, 99. Just like the Cancer symbol which the βtroll Jesus" used. (For people who did not know the Homestuck fandom, this figure was referred to as Jegus and that was commonly used as an exclamation and such. It was a big deal)
Presumably this Halloween figure is associated with the worldbreaking. He would also be associated with fright to fit Halloween. Possibly he is also associated with treats, to complete the phrase trick or treat.
In this episode what appears to be La Llorona is drowning children every year where two rivers meet, two boys and one girl. As in my theory this is the only timeline and after the Multiverse exists the others will retroactively coexist, this means my suicide attempt happened βbeforeβ the other timelines. And this could be a ritualistic reenactment of it which plagues Halloween night in certain places. As I wanted to jump in a river but did not do so, it could be a ritual of euthanasia. The two rivers meeting could represent when what I wanted to contribute to the world, including a whole world of my artistic works, met the world, leading to my suicide attempt. Monroe is also hassled by three kids which points to this symbol taking various forms on Halloween elsewhere.
It has a great last scene with Monroe scaring the kids.
