The story of Dril
Explaining his relation to myself and the world, and some of what he represents as a creative.
I suppose I am writing this now in the course of my sub stack due to dril recently pivoting to more resembling the ‘dirtbag leftists' he follows and Associates with. Those I myself call the Discount Drils, which has already proven to be a stinging term for them. As part of my anti Homestuck plan, I use a wide variety of methods to police anybody associated with the history of Homestuck from "starting their shit again” as this network of people in general have been doing since 2012.
Dril is much like myself and, being a cartoonist, read my online posts, inspiring his own. This fact requires no explanation. If you know about me, my online activities, my life, my artistic philosophy, and my impact on the internet you can see it automatically. Many of his tweets resemble either what I'm doing at the time, or what I was doing years before he tweeted it.
In return I found his Twitter and he inspired my own posts, beginning a flow of Content read by ipgd, Homestuck team member. She was enamored with him. Before I learned how to post, I often simply said terms such as “fart” and “Squirtle” as I struggled to interact with the world I had grown up into after impacting it myself with my revolutionary art efforts. This was back in the year 2013.
Since I inspired him, and he inspired me, this represents a more healthy artistic relationship. We have interacted a single time where he said that he hadn't started a series of bathroom tweets, and I said that his response was illegal. On the other hand he made a book cover with ipgd for the sweet bro and hella jeff book.
I’ve been getting some shit on 4chan for pointing out the fact that many people who Rose to prominence in Art Fields since Homestuck and the 2012 Advent of woke plagiarized myself, both my subject matter as well as my art philosophy and as well as my goals in life such as against Bad teaching, and this was all done terribly. None of the plagiarism was good, which shows the sort of artistic sin it is.
For the buffoon who would try to claim that my claims are baseless, we can all simply look at dril. He has become a major icon of the varieties of left and woke people that have arisen in our time on social media, and so that proves by itself that my claim that wokes plagiarize ideas from me is true.
They take dril's language, they take his comedic hot takes, they take his attitudes, and this is another example of a trick of the trickster, of the ordinary type. Not the extraordinary type such as my upcoming complete Exposé of Homestuck, to happen in a couple decades or so.
This too they do badly, if not as badly as my own posts. Now I will analyze some examples.
This is the one I hate the most in how they use it. This expresses dril’s outlook on life where he doesn't really care about good or bad things, just his bizarre idea of good living. It evokes Paul, and dril's name is also Paul. So it is a quite personal and expressive post.
Wokes treat it like this is just saying “oh you stupid politician you think Republicans are as acceptable as Democrats” or some stupid bullshit like that.
And My Philosophy has a lot to say about what it really means for there to be no difference between good and bad things.
Dril'ss outlook on girls is basically identical to my own. This evokes my struggle to get basically any money at all since 2012. It was also tweeted on “Mar10 Day”, and with my Italian identity I referenced in the cartoon community Mario can represent myself. Since it was tweeted, this could be a prophecy which came true in a less literal sense, gaining a rent check or so of value on the level of the art world.
Within my mind I have prided myself on being able to cure the problems of the girls I am drawn to if I was accepted in the art communities. Dril came into proximity and close proximity to some of them, such as ipgd and some of her friends. As no one made way, I judge them as collectively not deserving this boon to their minds. The term depression is a linking point to my point of view on depression and depression culture, when used to represent their problems. Dril later apologized for saying that all the cartoon characters with depression deserve to have depression, which with all this context included is a very funny, Big Time funny joke. But again, since they never let me in they will never get to laugh at this real, full version of the joke unless they are privileged to do so later on.
Basically represents my whole philosophy and major artistic effort I describe on this page. The seven girls can represent the ones I find most special. Leftist would represent my personal philosophy which woke aims to undermine through direct knowledge from my posts as well as through indirect knowledge of spiritual life. Quitting the girls tweets as they must get too good.
Basically my attitude after I hit puberty, about society.
Can represent my trauma of entering the Tumblr art world and seeing all the people I thought were great potential friends re-blogging intensely disrespectful to me things. The second part can represent becoming calm by seeing drawings which represent artistic value, such as the ones I make.
Can represent how serious I take artwork and it's impact on the world, especially when I was a teenager when people were grokking my primordial posts. As back then I was confused as to why I made people so mad
Can represent my teenage self saying that things which were trending at the current moment in the 00s sucked. As dril was inspired by my posts, having a forceful and passionate response to this audio trend from 2018 meant that he was psychologically and personally back, rather than wasting away as a creative.
And I end that segment. It is very easy for me to find tweets to make such interpretations, and the interpretations are rather simple. Using pictures would be easier really.
This also serves the purpose of illustrating to my trolls that it certainly wasn't true that I was unable to find any success due to deficiencies in my accomplishments and skills. Dril became a success and defining icon for the woke with inspiration from myself. Some of his tweets are simply almost literal descriptions of myself and my life events. Allowing the woke emotional catharsis in what they Collectively did to impact me. And how? Did he make the most wonderfully animated and spectacular animated movies so far? No, he simply tweeted. Much like I was doing since I was 15 years old. Cartoonish meaning transmitted with less than 140 characters, and I was often brief as a teen.
Dril created the Adult Swim show Truthpoint, which was rather unpopular. It can be considered a multiversal linking point to alternate timelines where things go right with me, and I am dril's co-host. All Things Considered that would be a very meaningful thing to put on a cartoon channel. And it follows directly from my daring truth saying I performed after discovering John K's blog.
I have seen in the part of animation Twitter I gravitate to quite a bit of distaste for dril and his show. Whether they know it or not, this can come from distaste for him extending Beyond his inspiration from myself, as others such as Andrew Hussie did from the start, pretending like they came up with everything on their own when in reality I can remember just a few comments they built whole careers on. Alex Hirsch must have become Seethe-Engined from my remarks about Flapjack which I describe later, on which he drew beanmouths.
I included some recent tweets to demonstrate that dril still knows in his psyche that my story is worth caring about, and so any misbehavior he has done is more due to others surrounding him in his world and in his personal life than to his own volition.
When I say that mostly former fyad SomethingAwful users are “Discount Drils" I am secretly conveying that I do not believe their old forum actually contributed to his posting style. I believe it originates from himself and in fact they are merely imitators. And this is a fifth dimensional relationship between them and dril.
God arranges things in creation so that people be who they should be. And so with the diminished nature of creation, he can do things like create an environment which will nurture someone to be how he should have been all along without the corruption of sin. And so this is the purpose of SomethingAwful culture for dril.
